NEW Milani Color Statement Lipstick & Lipliner Review and Swatches

I am extremely excited to announce that Milani has launched a new line of lipsticks!  The Milani Color Statement lipsticks come in 30 new shades and are in sleek gold packaging.  Milani says you are supposed to get true instant color with just one swipe for a full coverage application.  These lipsticks also contain vitamin A, C, and E to moisture and nourish your lips.  The great thing about them is they are paraben free!  There are 6 different finishes to choose from.  Vinyl, Metallic, Cream, Shimmer, Pearl and Matte finishes.  They retail for $5.49 and all colors are now available on  Each lipstick contains 3.97 grams of product and are 0.14 oz.

The only 3 colors that I could get my hands on at my local CVS were Pink Frost 09, Cherry Crave 06 and Best Red 07.  After a couple of days of testing these lipsticks out I can now give you my full thoughts.  I am incredibly impressed by the quality of these lipsticks.  They go on smooth and are very pigmented!  I like the texture, not slippery on the lips but not drying either.  I wouldn't say these feel extremely moisturizing like a Revlon lip butter or like the Maybelline Whisper Lipsticks, but they do have some moisture.  The lasting power is pretty good.  I got 4-5 hours wear time before needing to touch up.  The scent of these lipsticks smell like candy.  It is a pretty strong scent, but who doesn't like candy?  Lol.  Packaging for me is a big selling point.  I always appreciate it when drugstore companies put their product in nice, sturdy and well made packaging that won't fall apart if I drop it once or twice.  And hey, if it looks good too that's always a plus!  I like that Milani decided to put the actual color of the lipstick on the bottom for easier finding.  I hate digging through my makeup collection for 10 minutes looking at the bottoms of all my lipsticks to find the right one.  *cough*  MAC *cough*
(Left to Right: Pink Frost 09, Cherry Crave 06, Best Red 07)
Pink Frost is a very Metallic finish.
Because it is such a light color it will show any cracks and dry spots on the lips.
Exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate before using this color!
Cherry Crave is another Metallic finish, but not nearly as metallic as Pink Frost.
It is a orange based red and goes on very smooth.
My favorite out of these 3 lipsticks.
Best Red is a Matte finish.
I did one swipe on my lips in this picture to show you how opaque it is.
The 2 lipliners I bought were True Red 02 and All Natural 04.  Milani describes them to be long wearing and have a easy glide formula to line and fill your lips.  There are 8 different shades.  Each contains 1.14 grams of product and are 0.04 oz.  They retail for $3.99.  I really like this line of lipliners.  The application is very smooth and I do find them to be pretty long lasting.  In my opinion these are a steal!
All Natural 04 is a creamy brown-nude.
This is several shades darker than my lip color but would look great with a nude lipstick paired on top!
True Red 02 is exactly as described, a true red.
Perfect to pair with Cherry Crave or Best Red!
Since I can't seem to find the full display anywhere in my area, you can bet I'll be going online to purchase more of these fabulous lipsticks and lipliners!  I am really anxious to try out the cream lipsticks from this line.  Hope you all enjoyed!
Overall: 5/5
