MAC Archie Girls Collection Lipstick & Lipglass Review & Swatches

The newest limited edition release from MAC is the Archie Girls Collection.  I can't even begin to tell you how excited I was when I heard this collection was coming out!  When I was younger I used to collect all the Archie comic books.
The packaging is probably one of my favorite that MAC has ever released.  It almost feels nicer than the regular MAC products!  I love how MAC played on the Betty and Veronica characters and made all of Betty's shades neutral and Veronica's shades darker and vampy.

MAC Year of the Snake Collection Shell Pearl Review & Swatch

Several weeks ago MAC launched the Year of the Snake Collection 2013.  The only thing that had really caught my eye was the Beauty Powder in Shell Pearl.  This is a repromote but I missed out on it the last time it was launched.  The rest of the Year of the Snake Collection contains a lot of permanent and repromote shades.  The packaging and details is what makes this collection special and limited edition,  all of the products are embossed with a snake design.

Revlon Photoready Eyeshadow Review and Swatches

Let me start off by saying that Revlon is probably my favorite brand of cosmetics in the drugstore.  On top of that I am a huge fan of their Photoready line.  So a couple of days ago when I saw their NEW display out for the Photoready eyeshadows, I was all over it!  The line contains 8 different palettes.  I thought I should test them out before I went crazy and bought the whole collection so I only picked up 2.  You know how it is when you see that bright red sticker that says "NEW" on it. lol.

The 2 palettes I chose were Metropolitan 501 (left) and Watercolors 520 (right).   Each palette is 0.1 oz. and has 2.8 grams of product.  It includes a primer (bottom left), sparkle top coat (bottom right), and 3 eyeshadows.  I purchased them at CVS for $9.99 each.

Maybelline Color Whisper Lipstick Review & Swatches

Follow my blog with Bloglovin
It's official. I have finally found the perfect blend of a lipstick meets lip balm product. I am a complete lip junkie and after years of testing out hundreds of "moisturizing" lipsticks I have finally found my all time fave! When the Revlon Lip Butters hit the shelves last year I thought that was it. Done deal. But I must say that Maybelline really hit the nail on the head with these lipsticks.

I first saw the collection at Ulta several weeks ago and I can't tell you how excited I was to see that Maybelline finally jumped on the bandwagon! To my surprise the display was hidden in the back of the store on the bottom shelf with every single color perfectly laid out and untouched. I picked out 6 shades that I will be reviewing for you today.

Maybelline describes these lipsticks as pure color pigments suspended in a weightless gel without any heavy waxes or oils. The line contains 20 shades. Starting from a sheer nude all the way to a deep plum. I am also excited to announce that these will be part of their permanent collection. I recommend going to target where they retail for $5.99. At Ulta I paid $7.49/each!
